Question of the DNA laboratory. need help!?
Hello everyone. I desperately need help for my Bio lab on DNA. please help if you know the answer! thanks =) 1. A model kit, while useful in demonstrating the main steps of DNA replication, transcription of the information genetic DNA to mRNA, and translation of genetic information from mRNA of polypeptides, can not completely mimic the same processes in a living cell. Describe three differences between what actually happens in a living cell and what has been done using a kit. 2. Would a base substitution nearer the 3 'end of the DNA template have a more detrimental effect that a base substitution near the 5 'end of the template DNA. Explain. Help please! I absolutely no idea what the answer.
A. I do not know what kind of modeling team was using and what they actually showed. But here There is some speculation that there could be shown. 1. Replication. Formation of the replication bubble: the double-stranded DNA opens a starting point of replication and replication occurs in both directions from 5 end 'to 3' in the upper string (leading strand). the bottom replicaiton chapter (Chapter algging) must wait until enough of the double helix unwinds and then Okazaki fragments are positioned near the bubble procedure and polymerization reoccurs from 5 'to 3'. Pre 2.Transcription RNA transcripts are joined by splicing factors. Perhaps the model kit that uses diod not show the structure molecular junction real factor or not a joint show at all. 3. Transport of the mRNA outside the nucleus. The mRNA is transported outside the nucleus in the cytoplasm where translation occurs. 4. Translation Translation requires not only ribosomes, but a whole series of factors like cofaoctors translation and other translation initiation factor, GTP and so on. There are also enzymes such as acyl transferase tRNA, the tRNA charging right individual with the amino acids. without also be possible without translation B. substitution near the 3 'end would be less serious thatn near the 5' end.
