How do you know what skin type you have?
I was at Sephora and today I bought toner for sensitive skin. Im not sure what type of skin I have. What are the different skin types and are there differences?
Acne skin: quite self explanatory. A lot of break outs, skin may be dry or oily, but always characterized by inflamed pustules and / or cystic eruptions (under the skin). Combination skin: can, bordering combo dry or combo neighboring fat. Normally, the T-Zone (forehead to nose to chin) area is more fat, black heads and clogged pores are common in this area, and cheeks and jowls are generally less congested and dryer. Sensitive skin: Easily irritated, and can show as redness of rosacea, broken capillaries, and / or painful areas premiums. Sensitive skin tends to be drier, but not always. Oily Skin: characterized by glands sebacious very active may or may not be accompanied by acne outbreaks. Either type of skin above may fall into subcategories. Some of these include: the damaged environment: it can be caused by being in the sun (see leather, hyperpigmentation, etc) and pollution in the environment. Skin Aging: This manifests itself differently in men and women. Men experience less of a problem because not pass through these severe hormonal changes. Women who are peri-and post-menopause may experience growth of unwanted hair, sagging, and swelling in areas not had these problems before. Each product line will have a few products that address each of these common skin issues. You may ask your dermatologist or esthetician for details on a system of skin care that is specific to their needs.
