Printing to an IP printer in Mac?
My manager has just bought a Ricoh 2238C Copier Ebay without documentation ... How do I set this option to print from my Mac (OSX 10.4). Crossed copier functions and find the IP address. It entered the printer on my Mac and install the printer with IP address, etc and all was well and in my print dialog boxes. However, when I began to print pages and pages of garbage left the copier. I made real process: add IP Printer: Line Printer Daemon - LPD Protocol Typed IP address and valid response Entered Ricoh Print name Aficio 2238C PS Everyone accepts, threw garbage .... Please can anyone give me an idea of what I'm doing wrong. Thank you very much, Tony
I have had problems printer in the past with my Mac-compatible software / hardware. It drove me crazy! Even now I have a Lexmark printer that is supposed to be compatible, but when it chooses to be. Of Anyway, try this forum http://www.macforum.com.au/ Mac to begin with and after your question otherwise do a search for other Mac forums and give them a chance. I found many answers in this way intelligent Mac users waiting in line to respond to their problems.
