Question about typewriters ...?
I'm looking to get a typwriter because my computer is too disturbing to write. Any writers out there know what I mean. Anyway, I wonder what kind of study. I realize that no matter what happens to me, is largely obsolete machinery, but well, fantasy. I like the old 70, typwriters, but i dont think id ever be able to replace the tapes ... EON land Wher can I find it? Now I am more inclined towards the later typewriters / word processors, but still, I wonder if the search for replacement ink would be a problem ... Any machine officionados writing out there that can help me?
Stay away from the electronic typewriter / processors are nothing but problems and can be hard to get for tapes. I hit the thrift stores, craigslist, etc. and try to find an office manual Underwood typewriter. Either of them are large machines. I use one of the twenties, every day and I only paid ten dollars for it. Underwood machines are very well done and almost never break down. Tapes for them are available at any office supply store. Major office supply places that once worked on the machines writing often have the pleasant turning in a back room. This is how I have mine.
