Can I use all steel grades 6 mil plastic sheeting as a moisture barrier for wood floors?
Hello, I am laying wood laminate flooring on concrete. Can I use alternatively 6 thousand or more sheets of plastic as a moisture barrier in the passage of materials building instead of flats? I found one at Lowe's: Item # 64,430 Model # C101006BK, Sunbelt black 10 'x 100' 6 mil plastic sheets of $ 57.30. It's cheaper and thicker than those found along the wood flooring materials. The box says it's good for the vapor barrier. Up to 4 Type thousand feels thicker than those found in the section of flooring. Most floors site mentioned that the minimum is 6 mil.
