We have visited all the sites with navigation menus. No, we're talking about the food offered on a road trip, menus on a website are the tools to get where they need to go. Menus can be composed of different elements, but they always have the same purpose: to get visitors to your web site the information you need quickly and show all that your site has to offer in a concise manner.
Generally speaking menus are located close from the top of the page is implemented as vertical or horizontal layout of the page. Offer a simple and discreet menu at the bottom of the page (especially on pages with content length) so viewers can continue browsing, but need not return to the top of page.

DO NOT use flash menus with strong disturbing sounds that may irritate the visitor when roll over the buttons So navigation is prohibited even deeper into your site.

DO use menu titles specific to your site. Sometimes "contact, about, home, etc. .." might be called for the election very creative title, but causes that users can navigate it.
