How is a trained medical transcriptionist in 'iSource'?

We have a training module for the transcribers doctors employed by iSource, the main objective of the training module is to ensure that they understand correctly recorded medical dictation using the word processing equipment.

Module is designed to raise the level of performance and competence:

1. Getting to the transcription and dictation machines

Basic Criteria - The capacity of the transcriber is judged whether the

  • Student learns to listen to the recorded audio and types of them, again hear the recorded dictation to verify the accuracy of the written content.
  • Student learning and analysis of the dictates and listening to the tone of the voice of punctuation.

Evaluation - The ability of the transcribers is analyzed

2. Type of medical records in text processing

Basic Criteria - The capacity of the

transcribers judged whether the

  • Training can prepare a document transcribed, which is precise and without any spelling, grammar and punctuation errors
  • Student is able to transcribe a document consisting of 45 lines in 30 minutes

Evaluation - The ability of the transcribers is analyzed

II. Editing skills for correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation and typographical errors

  • Training can identify errors and make corrections according to the transcript of guidelines
  • Training can perform quality checks of the transcription maintain accuracy levels of 100%

4. Familiarize students in medical terminology

Basic Criteria - The ability of the

transcriber is judged whether the

  • Use reference training and information available on line and medical dictionaries

Evaluation - - transcribers will analyze the capacity of

  • Periodic testing for familiarization of medical terminology

Learning objectives

I. Learning medical terminology and reference manuals for references

5. Students become familiar with the medical reports and records

Basic Criteria - The ability to the

transcriber is judged whether the

  • Training can prepare different types of medical reports
  • Training can prepare reports at a rapid pace without any errors

Evaluation - - The ability of discusses transcribers

  • Complete tasks in transcription

I. Ability to identify various medical records and reports

II. Ability to independently prepare an accurate report

Our Grading Policy

After an intense training session, we have a classification rule for classifying students, the parameters are as follows,

Grade A + = 95% to 100%

Grade A = 90% to 94%

Grade B = 80% to 89%

Grade C = 70% to 79%

We hire and assign students only after receiving the grade or degree A +, students who can not get the grades are put through training again until they are able to obtain the required degree of recruitment. Above all, through training modules for 90% of students score A + or A grades.
