What is your opinion of this Nature article on the media and science in U.S. and the United Kingdom?

The quality of the information in popular media on scientific issues is very poor. In large part this is due to the fact that most people in the popular media have little or no scientific training themselves. Also, many issues such as anthropogenic global warming and embryonic stem cell research has become highly politicized. The articles in the popular media tend to reflect the trend author's political rather than scientific peer review available on the subject. I recommend you read the material on both sides of this issue. For material that supports the theory of anthropogenic global warming I recommend you read reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. (IPCC reports) to material that questions the IPCC methodology I recommend you read the book: "Red Hot Lies, how global warming alarmists use threats, fraud and deception to Keep You Misinformed. "
