With business cards and makes a greater GSM usually have better quality?
I'm about to get some business cards made up, but would like Read more about the options available to me. First, how thick is 350gsm? Does it represent the highest quality 250gsm to say? Secondly, no want any type of laminated or glossy finish my card, I just want clear and fibrous. Do I have to apply a matte finish to accomplish this? Third, if I want a line of text reasonably thin for a place UV-will this stand out and be visible enough to justify spending the extra money? Or should I add the site to an area of the logo (that worries me can look over the top) Thanks in advance for the help
Without seeing the design, which is a little hard to follow some of your options, but ... 1. A thicker grade stocks tend to exude a little superior to a thinner grade, but that said, I've seen some cards very pleasant to be printed in a very thin piece of parchment that were very nice. I think in general, designing a business card speaks more to quality than the thickness of a card. 2. If you want a plain, fibrous card, then I will not end at all. A matte finish tends to flatten the gloss of the ink used on your card. From my perspective, This can be a waste of money. 3. Depending on the design and the UV spot size, this might seem good. It may be somewhat inperceptible to the untrained eye however. If you send me PDF of your design, I would be happy to provide more input. Basically, I am speaking in generalities here.
