How do I use mailto for the mail client to recognize a string as HTML?
I have an HTML page that I'm trying to send someone, but the page is all marked with HTML tags. I would use the mailto command to send the page to my email client and have the client Email recognize / parse the HTML tags to produce a readable email. How can I do this?
The answer to your question depends what kind of HTML tags you have, and what email client you use, as there are variations. But there is a way to do that, if the code A valid HTML HTML browser that can display smoothly, and you are using Outlook Express. Any email client will be similar, but details would be different. First, select "Create Mail". In the bottom of the Compose window, click "Source" tab. use WordPad or Notepad or a similar text editor to open the file containing the HTML you want to send. Select the code, not including the HTML, HEAD or BODY tags, and copy to the clipboard. Return to the window where you select "Source", and paste the code in the right place. It is possible some of the code belongs to the HEAD section, and the rest belong to the BODY section. I hope that you can place the code correctly. Select the "Preview" to ensure that the result is what I wanted. You have to select the "Edit" tab to send the message.
