@HSN That could be it, a “Starter Kit” but you would think the ink level would immediately appear to be low then, being the computer probably wouldn’t know the difference.

As I said, we usually include items like a USB cable that other retailers may not, because we know you’re going to need one to hook it up to your PC. I have no direct experience with Lexmarks, but many of our customers do and love them. Often manufacturers include “starter ink” cartridges with the printer instead of full size which may explain why your ink has been used up so quickly.

@HSN I purchased it locally from Wal-Mart, it says right on the setup program that a USB cable is not provided.
I just think it’s a major inconvenience for something that SHOULD be included, it’s not like an optional accessory, it’s something that’s imperative to have to even use the printer.
and it burns through ink like crazy, I would say that the total amount of ink I’ve used so far, would equal 8 full color pages, and it’s half empty already (that’s accurate too, I just did the math)

If you purchased this item for us and it didn’t include a USB cable, then you need to contact HSN Customer Service. Although most retailers don’t always include them, we almost always do. We purchase enough quantity that the manufacturers pack them specially for us and often include extras that don’t come with the same models sold elsewhere.
