If you want to move to more expensive models, the Olympus DS series is a good choice. Olympus DS-4000 makes it is used by professionals in the medical and legal. Recently, however, the Olympus DS-2, which offers many of the same features at a much lower price.
You want a digital voice recorder that requires no software installation in order to move the files to your PC or Mac DS-Series and WS-series by Olympus, simply recognizes the device as a mass storage device.
