On 22 January, the Federal Reserve cut its most important interest rate for the fourth time in the past six months, in an attempt to stop the widespread feeling that the U.S. is, or go into recession. Their cut comes at a strange moment, because it is rumored, no, wait, to deliver the cut in your monthly rate-setting Meeting next week. The biggest difference between that scenario, or for that matter any other previous economic downturn, is that now the governments around the world are losing something of a recession in the U.S., while even in the early 2000 foreign investment was not accelerated its current breakneck pace.
