Canon MP220 - black ink volume unknown?
I have a Canon MP220 and just put in new ink cartridges, but the message on the screen BLK INK printer reads UNKNOWN VOL. I tried to re-establish and verify the print alignment, etc, but this does not help. What should I try now?
Is it a genuine Canon make a replacement or a compatible / re-manufactured cartridge? If a charge is not one then is why it is not registering the ink levels. Not be reestablished ink, because you need a new chip to do that and these are new genuine Canon cartridges. Still need to print when and if you can press the reset button, which is a small circle with a red triangle inside a circle or vice versa, for a few seconds-it 's been a while since I used mine so I'm working from memory. If it is a Canon original still trying to hold down the reset button and try to clean the cartridge contacts (the metal bit in the bass) with a little water or color cartridge if any. Only gently and with only a little liquid or contacts will be flooded and useless. If none of this No works have suggestions of others.
